With I-tec Shading we offer energy-independent sun protection — blind, Venetian blind or Duette® — for all composite window systems. By day, it can be used to optimally control the amount of sunlight coming in and thus improve the room climate. At night, a closed shading improves the insulating effect of the window. The integration of the shading in the window system means that the design effect of the window is retained in full.
The innovative factor of I-tec Shading is an independent energy supply via a photovoltaic module and wireless control system that can also be automated.
The power supply via a photovoltaic module built into the blind cover means that no electrical cables are necessary. Consequently, this sun protection is ideal for renovations. To guarantee a power supply even when there is no direct sunlight, the power generated is stored in a battery. The photovoltaic module and battery are designed such that sufficient power is available even for windows facing north or under a roof overhang.
The control for I-tec Shading is via bi-directional wireless — multiple blinds can be controlled in combination. Relevant information such as sunrise and sunset can be incorporated into the control system, allowing optimum shading scenarios.
NEW: Automatic mode since March 2014
Thanks to day/night recognition, automatic mode allows the blinds to be opened independently at sunrise and closed at sunset. What's more, overheating of the rooms is prevented by the system determining the temperature and solar irradiation and closing the blinds before the room temperatures rise too high. In winter, an automatic control system linked to the temperature monitoring opens the blinds, thus allowing the solar energy input to be maximised and heating costs to be reduced.
